Which items sold, how many and for how much — and how that compares with the period of the same length just before.

How this is worked out. Quantities and amounts come from the invoice lines of the sales in the period (a sale synced twice counts once; sales on hold are left out). Cost uses the cost price of each unit when it was sold — the same figure as the Profit and Loss report — not today's average cost. Invoice-level discounts are not spread over items; see Item profitability for the reconciliation.
